Marriage in the Mountains
Castle Hill Resort & Spa, Proctorsville,Vermont
October Wedding
Escape with me into the beautiful rolling landscape of Vermont.
Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, this sweet couple often took ski trips to the groom’s family cabin, and now returning once more to celebrate their marriage. On a perfect fall day surrounded by their family and friends at Castle Hill and Okemo Mountain, I can honestly say that Anna and Sam had the best day ever. It was one smile after the other as we went from a gorgeous castle, to a quaint and intimate church ceremony, mountain views with the bridal party, and finally dancing the night away under the tent with a killer band. As you make your way through the gallery, you’ll see Anna’s beautiful gown, amazing details including the lucky family sixpence*, and our little adventure with the bridal party atop Okemo Mountain.
*Full disclosure, I had no idea what a sixpence was when I took these photos, but I knew it was important to Anna and Sam! So, later after the day was over I looked it up and I’ve decided to share this knew found knowledge with you! Placing a sixpence in the brides shoe on a wedding day is a tradition that stands for good luck and prosperity in her marriage.
